IT Technician I

Cyberknights Limited is seeking a reliable, hands-on Technician I to join our Technical and Field Services team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with an interest in computer and device repair, CCTV and security systems, networking, and general IT support who wants to develop practical experience while working across both our retail storefront and customer locations.
The successful candidate will assist with diagnosing and repairing customer devices, supporting installations, handling technical job intake, and providing professional service to customers.
What You'll Be Doing
Device Repair & Technical Support
- Diagnose and repair desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Perform device intake, testing, quality checks, and customer handover.
- Follow proper ESD, data protection, and device-handling procedures.
- Identify and escalate safety concerns such as damaged or swollen batteries.
- Assist with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS troubleshooting.
CTV, Access Control & Field Installations
- Assist with the installation and servicing of CCTV/security camera systems.
- Assist with access control installations.
- Install and troubleshoot basic networking equipment.
- Support cabling and equipment installation at customer locations.
- Carry out assigned field work safely and professionally.
- Escalate advanced technical issues to senior technicians when required.
Storefront & Customer Service
- Assist customers visiting the Cyberknights storefront.
- Receive devices and equipment for repair and accurately document customer concerns.
- Create and update repair jobs and customer records in Odoo.
- Assist with daily store opening and closing procedures.
- Keep customers informed about repairs and technical work where required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and secure technical workspace.
What We're Looking For
Candidates should have:
- Secondary-level education.
- A technical certification in IT, electronics, computer repair, networking, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting Windows and common consumer devices.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- The ability to follow technical procedures and instructions carefully.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCTV installation training, or similar qualifications would be an asset but are not mandatory.
Experience with Odoo is also an asset, but training will be provided.
A valid Trinidad and Tobago driver's licence would be beneficial because the position may require visits to customer sites.

- Comfortable working in both a retail environment and at customer sites.
- Able to safely lift and move computers and technical equipment.
- Comfortable performing installation work that may involve ladders, cabling, and varied working environments.
